#Occupy Yourself Movement
Oct 28th 2011

PLEASE SHARE THIS WITH AS MANY AS POSSIBLE…WE DO NOT HAVE MUCH TIME!

A momentum is occurring
People are uniting across the world
They are sending a message
The next step is fast approaching

On Oct 28th 2011
WE SHUT THE SYSTEM DOWN.

For one day we peacefully protest in a symbol that will be felt across the globe.

We step out of the system and step back into ourselves.

Turn off all lights
Unplug all electrical devices
Abstain from using TV, radio and internet or phone.
Abstain from making any purchase of any kind
Choose that morning to cancel any services you feel you no longer need
That morning call in sick to work

Do NOTHING that generates money into THE SYSTEM.

We will send a message
We will unite

Most importantly, for one day…
We live without distraction
Read a book
Meditate
Play
Sing
Dance
Create
Frolic in nature
Love

On Oct 28th 2011
Step out of the system and get back to yourself

Spread the word!
SHUT IT ALL DOWN!

Let no one deny you your rights to your own beliefs, but honor another soul who has chosen a different path.

The greatest barrier to true perception is the distortion offered by the part of the mind that thinks it already knows the Truth.

This is the biggest obstacle on the Spiritual path – The Founders thru Sal Rachele

Tonight

Jennifer Siebel Newsom’s award winning documentary Miss Representation presents distortions of the practical realities of the lives of women and girls

The film will be screened on the Oprah OWN Network Thursday, October 20th

San Francisco, California …  Partnerships For Change , is an international non-profit which has sponsored the documentary and is supporting the release of the highly acclaimed and social media sensation Miss Representation.

“When I was working with Ms. Siebel Newsom early on in the project I knew she was onto documenting a deep wound in our society. It was through Newsom’s research and interviews that she was able to bring forward the long held practices of corporate advertisers and the media who endlessly promote sexist images of girls and women. These portrayals not only harms women’s lives, character, and potential it is reinforcing these stereotypes for the next generation of girls and boys.   The time   ha s come to create a community of individuals fo r warding a movement of positive media representation of women in TV, film and  the media . ” Jackie Miller, President   of  Partnerships For Change , announced when she saw the completed project.

Partnerships For Change ’s mission is based in education and action and is leading the charge to promote the empowered realities of women’s and girls lives in India, Africa, Cambodia, and here in the US.  As consumers of mass culture, products, and television, women hold the lion share of purchasing power.  There is action women can take today to end this onslaught of limitations and lies about the realities of women and girls daily lives.

Partnerships For Change is encouraging women and their families to go to  Partnerships For Change and commit to take the following simple ACTION STEPS:

The film explores women’s under-representation in positions of power by challenging their limited and often disparaging portrayals in the media. Miss Representation takes the stand that the media is portraying women’s primary values as their youth, beauty and sexuality – rather than their capacity as leaders.   “ This is a human rights movement, not a women’s movement . ” Oprah Winfrey . Free Screening of “When we Grow” & “Run From the Cure” Hemp & Healing, Oct. 15, East Village, NYC

viewings2 GREAT films this Saturday at 1 pm in the East Village!  Jimmy’s 43 bar-restaurant at 43 East 7th St (just West of 2nd Ave).

 ”When We Grow” is an amazing look at the 1,000′s of things you can do with hemp when you DON’T smoke it.  You can make food, fuel, beautiful fabrics, hempcrete – which is like concrete, but stronger, lighter, and greener.  You can also make paper – the Declaration of Independence is written on hemp paper.  It’s also possible to make lightweight plastics that are stronger than steel.  Plus,hemp can be used to stop soil erosion, provide animal feed,and make rope – among other uses - too many to enumerate here.

 ”Run From The Cure” is the story of Rick Simpson, a Canadian farmer who grows medical marijuana, and gives it away for FREE!  He’s given it to many cancer patients who had been told they were terminal – beyond any hope, or possibility of treatment.  And many of the people he’s given his hemp oil to are still alive today – and credit their survival to Rick’s hemp oil…  Rick says, “If I’m a drug dealer, I must be the stupidest drug dealer in history, ’cause I don’t make any money at it.”  He just cures people.

Don’t miss out on this rare opportunity! Thomas Hübl, a brilliant young teacher and rising leader of contemporary spirituality on the world stage, returns to One Spirit to expand upon the work he introduced during his last visit.  His penetrating insights and mastery of the subtle energies that influence our experience of life open the door for a profound inner shift.

In the context of the energy that can flow between individuals, this unique opportunity to experience a teacher who is breaking new ground throughout Europe will introduce participants to a direct approach for connecting with themselves and others, resulting in:

  • a deeper sense of ourselves;
  • increased intimacy with others;
  • a greater experience of our purpose;
  • and a heightened desire and ability for self-expression.

During this weekend, we will share the mystic journey at the heart of all spiritual traditions, directly experiencing the Divine, and discover new methods to see beyond the screens that distort our awareness. We will begin to see others, the world, and ourselves more and more clearly and become increasingly aware of the depth of each moment.

As we become more skilled at seeing each other from the inside of our individual experiences, a new level of compassion unfolds.  This facilitates a transcendence of our unique personalities and an opening of our hearts, increases our capacities for deep listening and authentic communication, and compels us to find an authentic expression of our unique gifts and to apply these gifts in concrete ways.

The work of Thomas Hübl is highly participatory and experiential, powerful and transformative.  This workshop is perfect for anyone wishing to enrich his or her spiritual journey in a way that has life-changing potential.

Thomas Hübl is a contemporary spiritual teacher with an uncompromising clarity on the importance of spiritual friendship and the potential to create an enlightened “Culture of We.”  His workshops and trainings invite people to experience a deeper dimension of self-awareness and individual responsibility, creating a space for the exploration of a contemporary mysticism that directly contributes to an awakened culture by focusing not only on personal transcendence, but also on the active commitment to respond to the challenges of the human condition, which we face in today’s post-modern world.
