Mandate labeling of genetically engineered foods

The FDA is on the brink of approving genetically engineered salmon for human consumption. This would be the first genetically engineered animal on supermarket shelves in the United States.

The salmon is engineered to produce growth hormones year-round that cause the fish to grow at twice the normal rate. The government already requires labels to tell us if fish is wild-caught or farm-raised—don’t we also have a right to know if our salmon is genetically engineered? Without labels, we’ll never know.

More than forty countries, including Russia and China, already require labels on genetically engineered foods. As Americans, we firmly believe that we deserve the same right to know what we are eating.

That’s why I created a petition to U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on SignOn.org, which says:

Commissioner Hamburg, we urge the FDA to require the mandatory labeling of genetically engineered foods. We have a right to know about the food we eat and what we feed our families, but under current FDA regulations, we don’t have that ability when it comes to genetically engineered foods.

Polls show that more than 90% of Americans support mandatory labeling. Such near-unanimity in public opinion is rare. Please listen to the American public and mandate labeling of genetically engineered foods.

Experience St. Sarah Festival in France

Experience St. Sarah Festival in France!

Celtic Mystical Journeys invites you on a
Sacred Feminine Tour of France

Experience the mystery of France and the Festival of St. Sarah!

May 22nd-June 3rd, 2012

This spring we have two very special tours of France, encompassing The Festival of St. Sarah.  This is the biggest Gypsy Festival there is.  It is held each year, in honor of St. Sarah, patron saint of the Gypsies.

St. Sarah was a traveler herself and landing in France at Maries de La Mer she was embraced by the gypsy people who loved her as one of their own.

There are two tours to France being led this May.  One will be a women-only tour, led by a special women tour guide familiar with the mysteries of the Sacred Feminine in France.  What makes our Women-Only tours special?

By popular demand Finbarr Ross, will also lead a group of men and women, mixed.  The men don’t want to be left out of this special opportunity, a chance to connect with and heal the feminine within.  Finbarr is an excellent guide for this, with a deep connection and love of the sacred feminine sites of France.

In France you will absorb the energies of this European culture and its ancient Celtic roots, where later Christian, Gnostic, Jewish, and Muslim traditions recognized the ‘Sacred Feminine Ethos’ with passion and enthusiasm. Although we journey within the 21st Century, we will experience the threads of universal consciousness that predated Christianity, truths that are still alive today.

You will experience many wonderful power sites held sacred by those who have sought the Holy Grail and the presence of Mary Magdalene including:
Rennes-le Chateau
Grotte de Baume
Maries de La Mer
Arles
Carcassonne
Montsequr
Albi
Mystical Languedoc
Stunningly Beautiful Chartres Cathedral
Paris

A highlight of our journey will be experiencing Saint Sarah and the Annual Gypsy Pilgrimage to the magical village of Saintes Maries de la Mer, set in the dramatic Camargue amidst herds of wild horses, black bulls and flocks of Flamingos.

Tour Itinerary for France

                                                                                    Tues, May 22nd – Day 1
We begin this sacred journey as we depart Nice Airport at 9:00 AM to experience the Grotte de la St Baume, a steep 30 minute ascent to the cave where the Magdalene is said to have passed the last years of her life and written her memoirs. This mountain was sacred to Isis and has been considered holy ground for thousands of years. The natural water that accumulates here is believed to have curative powers.

Next we visit St. Maximin Basilica to view the crypt and relics of Mary Magdalene.
To our hotel in Arles for dinner and overnight.

                                                                    Wed, May 23rd – Day 2
Experience a walk around Arles, which contains wonderful monuments and remains of the highly developed Roman Empire. These were contemporaneous with the Grail family’s arrival in this region, approximately 2004 years ago. We visit St. Trophimus Church starting point of the journey to St. James in Compestillo. There was also a major Templar stronghold here.

Noon departure for Saintes Maries de la Mer to visit the church associated with arrival of the Grail Family from Palestine and to meet the most beautiful and powerful ‘Black Madonna’, revered by the Gypsies of Europe as St. Sarah.

                                                                                     Thurs/Fri, May 24th/25th – Day 3/4
We join in the unequaled atmosphere of the annual gypsy pilgrimage. Processions celebrate the arrival of the “Saint Mary’s of the Sea” as well as the gypsy patroness, Saint Sarah who landed here seeking refuge following the Crucifixion. It is a festival of International color, celebrating the spirit of great women who were spiritual pioneers and healers.

Free time to explore the unequalled and wild beauty of the Camargue Region on your own or with others in the group. Take a boat excursion along the Mediterranean to see the wild horses and bulls in their natural environment and experience the path of the Saints as they would have arriving on the shores of Southern France.

Late Friday, afternoon of the 25th, we will depart for Carcassonne where we will overnight.

                                                                            Sat, May 26th – Day 5
Today we drive to the small, unchanged town of Minerve, place of Cathar burning where 150 ‘Parfaits’ were burned as heretics on the feast day of Mary Magdelaine in 1210. We will then experience the Dove of Minerve.

Again we will overnight in Carcassonne.

 Sun, May 27th – Day 6
Spend the day exploring Carcassonne, and the Old City of Carcassonne, a unique example of a fortified medieval city and one known for its Cathar beliefs and history. In ancient times (ca. 600BCE), Carcassonne was a major Celtic site and a commercial place of exchange for the Celts, Druids and Phoenicians. Late afternoon we will travel to our hotel near Rennes le Chateau.

Dinner and Overnight at the hotel.  (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included)

                                                                                                                   Mon, May 28th – Day 7
We begin with an early start for our day at Montségur, Cathar seminary and citadel of their last resistance. In May 1243, in order to appease the Pope, the King of France instigated a 10-month blockade of Montségur.

A fifteen-day truce was negotiated in March 1244, at the end of which the Cathars had to choose to either renounce their faith, or perish at the stake – 220 Cathars chose death on the pyre.

Overnight in our hotel near Rennes le Chateau.

                                                           Tue, May 29th – Day 8
It is a short journey to Rennes le Chateau, ancient Celtic capital dating back to Neolithic times and former Visigoth capital of the region. Visit the Abbé Sauniere’s Villa Bethania. We will tour the church and environs of Magdala, and absorb the atmosphere of this ancient historical place. In the afternoon we visit Mount Bugarach, site of an ancient Essene community.

Overnight in our hotel near Rennes le Chateau.

                                                              Wed, May 30th – Day 9
We journey through the Black Mountains to Lastours – a steep climb to Cabaret, Surdespine and Quertinheux. In the first decade of the 12th century, Cabaret had become Languedoc’s foremost shrine in the pilgrimage of courtly love.

In the afternoon we journey to Albi, whose cathedral was built to symbolize the Roman Church’s power and victory over the ‘Albigensian Heresy’. We visit the beautiful church of Saint Salvi.

Overnight in Albi.

Thurs, May 31st – Day 10
This morning we experience a Black Madonna and a Roman well at Notre Dame La Dreche.

Later we journey to the mystical valley of Chartres. We arrive in Chartres early evening and will spend two nights in this unique town.

                                                               Fri, June 1st – Day 11
We depart our hotel early to fully experience Chartres Cathedral, with history dating back to the 4th century. It was erected during a time of religious peace brought about by the Emperor Constantine. Chartres is rich with mysterious sacred imagery and sacred geometry, and is said to be encoded with the secrets of the universe. It was established on a hilltop, where a sacred forest once stood. A well beneath the cathedral was sacred to the Druids and is said to be a miraculous source of healing water.

The Cathedral today is one of mystery and majesty. It is a holy place of rare architectural beauty, with its stained glass windows, crypt, labyrinth, and unique silhouette above the landscape. The standout feature at Chartres is the labyrinth, installed into the Cathedral floor in the year 1200. We will explain the history of the labyrinth and address the path of enlightenment that is opened to us via the 11-circuit Chartres labyrinth.

                                                                                                           Sat, June 2nd – Day 12
We take an early departure for Paris where our hotel is splendidly located close to both the Louvre and the lovely River Seine. Optional walking through the picturesque Left Bank to the historic Church of San Sulpice in search of ‘The Magdalene Line’.

Visit the Louvre to view the paintings associated with Mary Magdalene and the Grail legends. Free time to explore this world famous museum on your own as well as shop its gallery stores and the adjacent ‘Carousel du Louvre’ mall.

Sun, June 3rd – Day 13
We depart for the Paris airport on our homeward journey and bid farewell to France, grateful for all we experienced on this sacred journey.
