Jeffrey has been in the forefront of researching GMOs (genetically-modified organisms) and revealing the often-suppressed scientific studies indicating their toxicity to all life-forms tested. Most recently, Jeffrey wrote, produced and directed a film by the same name as his book Genetic Roulette, on the latest findings of the dangers of GMOs and the serious propa-gandistic and corrupt tactics of the major GMO corporations used to control governments across the world to legalize their use and often without what would be a standard practice, at least in western countries, of labeling.
Jeffrey was deeply involved in Prop. 37 in California in this past election cycle, which would have required labeling of foods that are genetically modified. If you know little about GMOs, this interview will give you a much-needed education, and if you know some to a lot, it will give you even more inspiration to avoid them and work on behalf of efforts to require labeling and to stop the spread to other foods, such as salmon, of this insidious and dangerous takeover of our food supply.
This is a re-airing of this important interview, the information of which can help educate people about GMOs, the lack of scientific proof of safety and the implications of potential harm to our species and other’s health, well-being and future gene pools.

Monday September 8, 9pm EDT : The filmKids’ Rights, will be featured tonight, to discuss all the ways in which so many of our children are disrespected, de-valued and discarded in the global society generally, thankfully with some exceptions.

C MilesOne of the guests will be Carolyn Miles, President & Chief Executive Officer of Save the Children. Save the Children is the leading independent organization inspiring breakthroughs in how the world treats children, achieving immediate and lasting change in their lives. The global Save the Children movement currently serves over 140 million children in the US and in 120 countries.

Carolyn joined the organization in 1998, was COO from 2004-2011, and became President and CEO in September 2011. During her senior leadership tenure, the organization has more than doubled the number of children it reaches with nutrition, health, education and other programs. Resources have gone from $250m to almost $700m with 89% spent on programs for children. Carolyn has focused on hunger, learning outcomes, and ending preventable child deaths as her signature issues.

Earlier, she worked in the private sector in Hong Kong for American Express and as an entrepreneur. While in Asia, she confronted the deprivation of the region’s children and committed herself to their welfare. Carolyn has served on numerous boards, including Blackbaud, InterAction, USGLC, MFAN, Academy of Education Arts and Sciences, and the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, where she received her MBA.

.
Nina Lynn Meyerhof, Ed.D, Also joining Mitchell will be Nina Lynn Meyerhof, Ed.D, President and Founder of Children of the Earth, has made a life of advocating for children and youth. The co-author of Conscious Education :The Bridge to Freedom , she is recognized as an innovative educator committed to global responsibility through authentic learning. Nina has received many awards for her work from The Mother Theresa Award to the Citizens Department of Peace Award to The International Educators Award for Peace as well as the State of Vermont passed a Resolution honouring her for her life’s work in PEACE and now the Sage Award.

Her focus is on the realization that peace must come from recognizing our interwoven unity.

Nina founded and coordinates Children of the Earth which houses approximately 30 YOUTH Hubs and Chapters such as in Thailand, Nepal, Romania, Canada, Ghana, Togo, Switzerland and more. Projects are carried out in the pursuit of building a world of unity with the awareness that peace can only begin from inner understanding that we are a global family. Some examples include helping to establish the first Children’s Peace Center in Ghana, fostering the building of schools in Nepal, teaching the making of bead bracelets for refugee children to sell in the US, to a youth group’s work on the Niger Delta, to the Teddy Bear project bringing hundreds of bears to war torn areas.

Nina is a totally passionate committed world peacemaker and world server. She has now her legacy work which includes a HANDBOOK for youth activism. This book stresses inner revolution for social evolution for building a better world. This book is a training manual and is being distributed throughout the world. Nina is also training young people to be these future leaders and have the skills to train others and so the ripple effect of her work continues globally.

Michael DudkoMichael Dudko, a graduate of the New York Film Academy, has worked for over 10 years as an independent film producer and director, directed the featured film for this week’s program, Kids’ Rights.

Dudko stated: “By making this film we hope to fight against this injustice and draw the public’s attention to what children really need: parents.”

Olga RudnievaAfter filmmakers Michael Dudko and Olga Rudnieva personally witnessed Sir Elton John’s own failed attempt to adopt a child in Ukraine, their investigation began, leading them through the Himalayas, the urban slums of Ukraine, China, the United Kingdom, and the United States where they learn about the corruption behind adoption practices and the cyclical problems caused by the welfare system.

Through interviews with Dave Pelzer, author of “A Child Called It”, social workers, neuropsychologists, attorneys, parents, soon-to-be parents, victims of child abuse, and Sir Elton John himself, they learn that in today’s global society children in lack of basic human rights and privileges

It’s a painful documentation of what shows up in the space of adoption services, orphanages and the street life of runaways, but most important, raises the subject of how children are regarded in various societies around the world and as a result, how children are treated, sometimes as princes, but more often as a form of economic slave.  Tonight’s discussion will be centered on this subject.

Living & Learning – We all Start School (again) in September
.
Do you remember how much fun it was to have new, fresh notebooks and sharpened pencils for school again for school?  How I loved the fragrance of freshly sharpened pencils–the smell of the wood I just loved.  And the fun of getting a “fresh start” in a whole new year.  No matter how I did the year before, whether it was stellar or mediocre, and God knows (as did my parents) that I was capable of both.
But as I was saying last week, the school is one in which we continue, whether its in a formal classroom or the board room or anywhere in between in our man-created society that has, even though ultimately governed by the laws of Nature, moved far away from the inherent Tao, or flow of Nature, her rhythms, sacredness and heartbeat.  If we learn something worthwhile, within the hallowed halls of the school system or without, it is to return to the results of the multi-billion year experiment called Natural Evolution and the intelligence issuing from the Web of Life Itself.

These both provide an education that lasts and provides practical value: creative, out-of-the-box thinking and examining the automatic assumptions about society, positioning us then to shape a society ourselves that we most aspire to, contradistinct from the one we inherited. This is utilizing creative brilliance for shaping society as a blank canvas, awaiting our artful touch!
.
m rabinAdditionally, I’ll be offering a Creating Heaven On Earth Workshop, including Chi-Kung, Meditation & Stress Reduction, in which we learn to relax, let go, clear, center, then imagine and access our higher selves.  In this relaxed space, we learn to understand ‘the roots of things’, personally, psychologically, biologically, spiritually and how perception-belief-image-language shapes our reality starting pre-natally.  With gaining this leverage of understanding the mechanisms of perception and the way of belief, we can then change by shifting perception and belief, through language, posture, movement and more.  We use Therapeutic Theater, and other modalities to awaken, inspire and become empowered toward leading meaningful, purposeful, prosperous lives on all levels.
.
Many people cannot afford individual sessions with me so this workshop will be ongoing, providing a forum for a fun form of coaching and facilitation that can and has added much to many people’s lives over the past 20 years I’ve been offering it and variations on it.
