Rocky Anderson 2012

Presidential Candidate –

A Real Choice in a Corrupt

Dear Friends of Democracy, Justice & Enlightened Politics,

Many of you know that I met Rocky Anderson, former, two-term Mayor of Salt Lake City, last December through Amy Goodman’s Democracy Now, when he announced that he was running for President of the United States in the Justice Party, a party he helped to form. He had been a Democrat, but felt that their funding sources and policies were way too conservative, and he had been a Mormon too, but left them for similar reasons—he is a real individual, with high-level humanitarian, environmental and progressive values. He is vegetarian, he wholly endorses alternative, holistic healthcare modalities and stands for the Rule of Law, one law for all citizens, not a two-tiered system as we have now.

I’ve interviewed Rocky a number of times on my radio shows, one of the last times of which was with Rep. Dennis Kucinich and Ralph Nader, as well as Barbara Marx Hubbard in an Enlightened Politics Roundtable I put together just this past June. Kucinich, Nader and now Barbara, all

Rocky for President. I introduced Rocky to Gary Null and many others, who very much appreciate his progressive thinking and actions as lawyer, Mayor and Executive Director of The High Road for Human Rights.

Last night, Rocky received the Independent Party endorsement in Ct., the third-largest party in the state, and is getting on ballots across the country. I’ve been on his National Steering Committee for the past six months until recently and have watched significant growth in people’s awareness of his candidacy and the utter hypocrisy and lack of representation in our current two-party, some say one-party, system.

Rocky offers a refreshing change from business-as-usual. He’s an experienced Mayor, having managed a multi-hundred million-dollar budget, he’s been a distinguished lawyer for some 21 years, always championing the under-privileged, and engaging in anti-trust suits of large magnitude.

I’d like you all to get to know Rocky first-hand. In a rare appearance in NYC, he’ll be at the Yippy Museum & Café at 9 Bleecker St., Thursday, Aug. 23, 7-9pm. I will be there.

Do try to make it! Thursday, August 23 – 7-9pm – NYC Rocky Anderson 2012 Presidential Candidate –A Real Choice in a Corrupt System, Q&A to follow Yippy Museum & Cafe • 7-9 pm; 9 Bleecker St, Manhattan (bet. Bowery & Lafayette)

There is another opportunity to meet Rocky at my place on East 14th St. between 5-7pm on Friday, if there are enough people who respond to this immediately—then I’ll set it up—it’ll be a more intimate setting. But only if there are sufficient, immediate responses by email. Interested in meeting Rocky here at my place? let me know pronto!!
