Model for A New Economy with Hazel Henderson & Louis Bohtlingk, host, Mitchell Rabin

Wednesday, October 7, 6pm EDT:  Today, Mitchell is hosting a Round Table discussion on A Model for a New Economy to address the seriously needed issues of an economic system that works for the few, hurts the many and whose pillars have become pathological “mania for more” at any cost to anyone with a trail of mounting global poverty, environmental destruction, resource depletion and the potent pain of injustice. The current system, a blend of several, bows to the lower aspects of the human psyche of selfishness yet the very same system can be used for the generous & caring expression of humanity’s higher nature as well.

In Louis’ own words:  I am Louis Böhtlingk, born in the Netherlands, trained intuitive and psychic counselor, certified bookkeeper, workshop leader and founder of World Finance Initiative and Care First World. In the late eighties I started addressing issues with money, survival and work, which led me to develop a vision for a Love Based Economy and Care First World. In 2003 we created a powerful transformational workshop, “Meeting the Mystery of Money” addressing our relationship with money and assisting us to move from fear to trust. My book Dare to Care– a love based foundation for money and finance – published Nov 2011 contains all my experience, insights and vision gained over the last 30 years. It was written in co-operation with Hazel Henderson.

It deeply embraces our personal transformation in relation to our money issues and advocates and embodies the deeply needed paradigm shift in the field of economics and finance. Dare to Care invites us all to participate. It shows many successful initiatives started within the last 40 years, which exemplify the application of love and care in finance and economics. I truly believe care is the way forward as the primary action in all our dealings with money.

“Care First means, we let care (our heart) lead the way in all money matters and make sure that money serves the well being of people and the Earth and is not used at their expense (Money First).”

Since the release of Dare To Care this message is spreading widely and receiving more and more recognition. In April 2013 we started building a Care First Innovation Network with the intention “To create a world governed by Care First”. I found myself strongly guided by Life in bringing together an international, diverse and all generational (12-75) group of 100 people from 12 countries. We integrate, apply and spread the message of Care First worldwide.

We are creating a new Online Platform to share the message of Care First in a simple, clear and alive manner. We invite individuals and organisations to join us in building a Care First World. We are mapping everyone who works with Care First to show how many people and organisations work with using money to serve the wellbeing of people and planet and our values.   You can follow our work on and
