Tuesday, May 22, 10:30pm EDT: On this week’s TV show, Mitchell interviews Thomas Hübl, a contemporary spiritual teacher from Austria gaining in popularity in the U.S. This is actually the first interview of Mitchell’s with Thomas, conducted at One Spirit Seminary in NYC.
His work integrates the essence of the great wisdom traditions: scientific learning, and personal experiences. It is rooted in a clarity which leads to the birth of new ‘we-cultures’ and societal transformation.
Thomas has the special talent to recognize people in the deep and accurately apply the timeless knowledge revealed to him in contact.
The mediation takes place in dialogic exchange. People thereby gain a deeper dimension of self-awareness and responsibility for the whole. This radical transcendence of the ego-centric world view opens the door to the depth of authentic expression, to serve in the world and to focus on the absolute.
He brings insights into the social discourse with those who have innovative ideas and visions to the current situation in the world, such as Ken Wilber.
In this interview, you’ll hear a lively, inspired discussion, Mitchell and Thomas, speaking like old friends, about awareness and its application to the world’s needs. You could call it “awareness-in-action” in the creation of a better world.

Tuesday, April 17, 10:30pm EDT:
This evening’s TV show’s guest is Robert Fuller, author of “All Rise: Somebodies, Nobodies, and the Politics of Dignity”, et al.
Dr. Fuller earned his Ph.D. in physics at Princeton University in 1961, and taught at Columbia University where he co-authored the book Mathematics of Classical and Quantum Physics.
The mounting social unrest of the 1960′s, and Dr. Fuller’s commitment to educational reform–which he had already demonstrated as a Columbia dean–led his alma mater, Oberlin College, in 1970, to make him its tenth president, succeeding Robert Carr.
At age 33, Dr. Fuller became one of the youngest college presidents in U.S. history. During his Oberlin presidency–a turbulent time at Oberlin and in higher education generally–Fuller reshaped the student body by tripling the enrollment of minorities at the college.
In this interview with Mitchell, Dr. Fuller goes into detail about the subtle effects of the concept he coined called “Rankism” and how it affects our daily lives as well as how we can correct this all too human tendency toward judgment.
Rabbi Joseph H. Gelberman, Founder of the Interfaith Movement

Tuesday, April 10, 10:30pm EDT:
In honor of the Jewish holiday of Passover, we are re-airing an interview Mitchell conducted with the venerable, renowned Modern Chassidic Rabbi, founder of the Interfaith Movement, the Rebbe Joseph H. Gelberman.
As founder of The New Seminary for Interfaith Studies and The New Synagogue, Rabbi Gelberman taught interfaith concepts in New York over 40 years. His was the first seminary devoted to the training of ministers who can serve people of all faiths. Also a devout Jew and modern Hassidic Rabbi, he had a deep love of Jewish traditions, mystical Judaism and was also a lifelong yoga practitioner. He coined the expression, “Never instead of, always in addition to,” to explain his interfaith philosophy.
Rabbi Joseph Gelberman is a passionate pioneer and teacher of the interfaith approach to Spirit and worship. Raised in the Hasidic tradition and also a master of mystical Judaism, the Kabbalah, he was led by Spirit to create a forum for interfaith teachings in the 70′s called the New Seminary in New York. Upon his recent retirement at age 87, he founded the All Faiths School for Children, a program designed for interfaith couples who want to teach their children how to appreciate their heritage and to worship God through more than one religion. He also founded The All Faiths Seminary.
The Rabbi has been on a unique mission to unite people of all faiths and to do his part to end hatred, killing, destruction, and all forms of religious persecution. A spiritual leader known for his wisdom and humor, he comes to his mission through his own profound experiences with religious persecution-as a child in Hungary, and then again as a young rabbi, when his wife and young daughter were taken to Auschwitz by Nazis, never to be seen again.
This interview was conducted at Rabbi’s kitchen table just months before his passing on Rosh Hashannah, September 9, 2010, and stands as the last video footage we have of this outstanding, much-loved, joyful rebbe and teacher.

As co-founder of the National Values Center in Denton, Texas, and CEO of the Spiral Dynamics Group, Inc., Beck is employing the Spiral Dynamics model to effect large-scale systems change in and among various sectors and societies of the world. Out of his experiences there, Beck wrote The Crucible: Forging South Africa’s Future (1991) with Graham Linscott.
Before his work in South Africa, Beck taught for twenty years at the University of North Texas. There he was named Outstanding Professor in 1978, named Honor Professor in 1979, and listed as an “Outstanding Educator in America” in 1980.
