Monday, March 27, 7pm EDT: Mitchell’s guest this evening is Don Beck of Spiraldynamics fame. Conceived and led by Dr. Don Beck, a leading global authority on value systems, societal change, and stratified democracy, SDi is an advanced extension and elaboration of the biopsychosocial systems concept originated by the late Dr. Clare W. Graves of Union College, New York, and later developed as Spiral Dynamics – a model that Canada’s Maclean’s Magazine rather grandly dubbed “The Theory that Explains Everything.”
Don has been developing, implementing, and teaching the evolutionary theory of Spiral Dynamics for more than three decades. Beck has elaborated upon the work of his mentor, Clare Graves, to develop a multidimensional model for understanding the evolutionary transformation of human values and cultures. As cofounder of the National Values Center in Denton, Texas, and CEO of the Spiral Dynamics Group, Inc., Beck is employing the Spiral Dynamics model to effect large-scale systems change in and among various sectors and societies of the world. He is the author of Spiral Dynamics: Mastering Values, Leadership & Change, written with Christopher Cowan in 1996. Beck’s long consulting career has taken him to such diverse settings as 10 Downing Street to consult with Tony Blair’s Policy Unit; the south side of Chicago to address the problems faced by inner-city schools; the World Bank to consider the future of Afghanistan; and the boardrooms of major banks, energy companies, airlines, and government agencies. In his 63 trips to South Africa between 1981 and 1988, he had significant impact on political leaders, the business sector, religious leadership, and the general public in order to help bring about the peaceful transition from apartheid to democracy.
Out of his experiences there, Beck wrote The Crucible: Forging South Africa’s Future (1991) with Graham Linscott. Before his work in South Africa, Beck taught for twenty years at the University of North Texas. There he was named Outstanding Professor in 1978, named Honor Professor in 1979, and listed as an “Outstanding Educator in America”in 1980. Beck has also been the team psychologist for The South African Springboks, winners of the 1995 Rugby World Cup, and has been associated with the Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints, the Texas Rangers (baseball), and the U.S. Olympic Committee for Men’s Track and Field. He writes a “sports values”column for the Dallas Morning News. He makes his home in Denton, Texas.
Mitchell invited Don to a Conference sponsored by the Institute for Cycles Research with some of the leading experts in the field, including Ray Tomes and David Katzmire, in New Mexico . This interview is being re-aired.

Wednesday, March 29, 6pm, EST: Many Americans, world leaders and people everywhere are deeply concerned about what seems to be the mental clarity and fitness of the newly-elected President of the U.S., Mr. Donald Trump.
Without any formal means required by law to evaluate Presidential candidates or any other elected official, we rely upon our own sense of assessment as well as those of professionals to arrive at a deeper understanding of what we may be dealing with here. With numerous nations with nuclear capability, with the mounting effects of Climate Change across the planet such as drought, food shortages, rising sea-levels and numerous wars in motion at any given moment, with the capacity to destroy the world many times over with a few commands, the mental and emotional stability as well as non-reactive, intellectual clarity of the Commander-in-Chief is an absolute necessity. Yet perhaps at no time before in U.S. history have we had so many questions surrounding this important topic about the holder of this office.
To discuss this, Mitchell Rabin is joined by a physician, Dr. Rick Lippin, Jungian psychoanalyst, Dr. Michael Conforti and Professor of Psychiatriy at Tufts University, Nassir Ghaemi MD MPH.
Dr. Richard A. (Rick) Lippin is a recognized leader in the medical specialty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (OEM), which he practiced for over 25 years during which he held senior positions in Atlantic Richfield Company’s (ARCO) Corporate Medical Department. His most recent position, held since 1987, was Corporate Medical Director ARCO Chemical Company where he had responsibility for the management of Occupational and Environmental Medical Programs on a worldwide basis, including the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific regions.
Following his retirement from ARCO in Dec 1999, Dr Lippin accepted a position as Chief Medical Officer of EarthMed.com an internet based Holistic Health Company.
In recognition for his achievements in his field Dr. Lippin was the 1997 recipient of the prestigious Health Achievement in Occupational Medicine Award given annually by the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM).
Dr. Lippin holds academic faculty appointments at Jefferson Medical College and at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Both are located in Philadelphia.
Within his field Dr. Lippin has developed special expertise and leadership in Worksite Mental Health and Behavioral Medicine issues in their relationship to employee health and productivity outcomes. He became an authority on work stress. He also has expertise in the responsible application of Alternative Medicine to the worksite. In 1996, he assumed the Chairmanship of ACOEM’s Mental Health Committee, and shortly thereafter was appointed as the only physician to serve on the U.S. National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) research priority (NORA) team on Organization of Work (OOW).
In January of 1996, Dr. Lippin published the first peer-reviewed article on the topic of Alternative Medicine in the Workplace in the highly regarded journal Alternative Therapies edited by Dr. Larry Dossey.
Dr. Lippin also coined the term “Arts -Medicine” having founded, in 1976, the American Physicians Poetry Association (APPA) and in 1985 the International Arts-Medicine Association (IAMA) dedicated to providing a forum for communication between arts and health professionals on a global basis. The arts-medicine movement incorporates the many links between the healing and creative arts including arts therapies, the environmental enhancement of health care facilities through the arts and the use of the arts in public health education. In 1997, Dr. Lippin was invited to author a chapter on Expressive Arts Therapies in a textbook, The Fundamentals of Complementary and Alternative Medicine, Second Edition, (Ed-M.Micozzi) the first textbook for medical students on the subject.
Dr. Lippin writes and speaks extensively on the above topics often in a keynote capacity. See http://ricklippin.org/home.htm

Improve Joints, Skin & Overall Health at very the Same Time & Build a Business.
Dehydration is one of the largest but largely unrecognized, passed by health problems in our society. According to Dr. Batmangelidj, author of The Body’s Many Cries for Water, dehydration is the cause of most of our diseases. But ironically enough.hydration doesn’t always occur effectively simply by drinking more water. There needs to be the proper constituents in the body for absorption, and these in exact ratio of hyaluronic acid, condroitin sulfate and collagen. These act as a metabolic catalyst for cellular hydration. And each of these tend to ‘dry up’ as we grow older, leading to dehydration, aging, wrinkling skin and both joint pain and lack of mobility and flexibility.
